BeME Apps (the Apps) provides the following services (the Services) to merchants who use Shopify to power their stores:

  1. Creating opt-in pop-ups message and notification that appear suddenly in the foreground and background of the website's visual interface. The pop-ups can be used to offer discounts, promote new products and services, or prompt website visitors to click on the banners to be directed to another web page.
  2. Creating buttons prompting website visitors to click on to take a particular action. The action that takes place when website visitors click on the button is defined by the app users (which is equivalent to the administrators of the website). Using Facebook pixel code to collect visitor behaviours on websites to be used in Facebook Advertising.
  3. Optimize SEO and compress your images at a high compression ratio to make your website faster with a higher Pagespeed score.
  4. Provide a reporting system to report active users, pageview, user-actions and manage your online store.

This Privacy Policy describes how personal information is collected, used, and shared when you install or use the App in connection with your Shopify-supported store.

Personal information our apps collect

When you install the Apps, we are automatically able to access the following types of information from your Shopify account: Product, Product Variant, Product Image, Collect, Custom Collection, and Smart Collection, Your store's script tags, Article, Blog, Comment, Page, and Redirect, Product Listing, and Collection Listing, Your store's Customer and Saved Search, Order, Transaction and Fulfillment, Checkouts, Price rules, Actions taken by your apps on behalf of a merchant.

Specific types of information we are automatically able to access vary between apps you are using.

Along with data collected with Shopify APIs, we collect web requests and data sent in response to those requests, IP address, browser type, browser language, timestamps for the requests. Additionally, we collect the following types of personal information from you and/or your customers once you have installed the Apps: Order information, name and location of your store's customers. Information about you and others who may access the Apps on behalf of your store, such as your name, address, email address, phone number, and billing information; Information about individuals who visit your store, such as their IP address, web browser details, time zone, and information about the cookies installed on the particular device. Also, we collect your store's currency. We collect personal information directly from the relevant individual, through your Shopify account, or using the following technologies: "Cookies" are data files that are placed on your device or computer and often include an anonymous unique identifier. "Log files" track actions occurring on the Site, and collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps. "Web beacons", "tags" and "pixels" are electronic files used to record information about how you browse the Site.

How Do We Use Your Personal Information?

We only use the personal information we collect from you and your customers in order to provide the Service and to operate the Apps. All of the data about you and your customers are made sure to be protected against unauthorized access. BeME Apps do not share the personal information you provided us without your consent, except for the following circumstances: Doing so is needed to carry out your own requests, it is legally required, it is needed to detect, prevent or address fraud, security, or technical issues, to protect BeME Apps's property, legal rights or that of others. Additionally, we use this personal information to:

  1. Communicate with you by email or any other means about problems occurring when using the apps.
  2. Optimize or improve the apps: Data about you and your customers can be used for any analysis needed for the improvement and personalization of the apps as well as the way they are marketed.
  3. Provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services: By using the Apps by BeME, you subscribe to our Alerts and Newsletters. BeME may send you emails relating to BeME or any other third parties that we consider helpful and feels you would be interested in. You can cancel your subscription to our emails anytime by clicking the unsubscribe link included in the footer of each email.

Sharing Your Personal Information

BeME does not share the personal information of you and your customers with third parties. Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to help us improve our website and service. We currently use Google Analytics (traffic analysis, SEO optimization). See listed below what data this third party extracts exactly. Please refer to their own Privacy Policies to find out more. Google Analytics: Anonymous (ad serving domains, browser type, demographics, language settings, page views, time/date), pseudonymous (IP address). Your use of this third-party service is entirely optional. We are not responsible for the privacy policies and/or practices of this third-party service, and you are responsible for reading and understanding that third-party service™ privacy policies. We employ and contract with people and other entities that perform certain tasks on our behalf and who are under our control (our "Agents"). We may need to share personal information with our Agents in order to provide products or services to you. Unless we tell you differently, our Agents do not have any right to use Personal Information or other information we share with them beyond what is necessary to assist us. You hereby consent to our sharing of Personal Information with our Agents. We may choose to buy or sell assets. In these types of transactions, user information is typically one of the transferred business assets. Moreover, if we, or substantially all of our assets, were acquired, or if we go out of business or enter bankruptcy, user information would be one of the assets that are transferred or acquired by a third party. You acknowledge that such transfers may occur and that any acquirer of us or our assets may continue to use your personal information as set forth in this policy. Finally, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant, or another lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights. By using BeME Apps you agree that your personal information can be used to create an audience for advertising campaigns (such as Facebook Ads, Google Ads, Shopify Apps Ads etc.), which to some extent can affect your online experience with social networks. Behavioural Advertising As described above, we use your Personal Information to provide you with targeted advertisements or marketing communications we believe may be of interest to you. Additionally, you can opt-out of some of these services by visiting the Digital Advertising Alliance's opt-out portal at: https://optout.aboutads.info. Your personal data and customer data are stored safely in our database. The databases and servers are held by us or by equivalent third-party providers within the European Union.

Your Rights

If you are a European resident, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us through the contact information below. Additionally, if you are a European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example if you make an order through the Site), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. Additionally, please note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States. If you are a California resident, California law permits you to request certain information regarding the disclosure of your PII by us and our related companies to third parties for third parties direct marketing purposes. To make such a request, please send your request, by mail or email, to the addresses listed at the end of this policy.

Data Retention

When your customer interacts with our apps through your website, we will maintain your customer information for our records for at least 30 days unless and until you ask us to delete this information. Changes We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons.

Dispute Resolution

In compliance with the EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Principles, BeME Apps commits to resolve complaints about your privacy and our collection or use of your personal information. European Union or Swiss individuals with inquiries or complaints regarding this privacy policy should first contact BeME Apps at [email protected] or use the contact information below. BeME Apps will investigate and attempt to resolve complaints regarding the use and disclosure of personal information by reference to the principles in this policy.

BeME Apps has further committed to refer unresolved privacy complaints under the EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Principles to an independent dispute resolution mechanism, the BBB EU PRIVACY SHIELD, operated by the Council of Better Business Bureaus. If you do not receive timely acknowledgment of your complaint, or if your complaint is not satisfactorily addressed, please visit https://www.bbb.org/EU-privacy-shield/for-eu-consumers/ for more information and to file a complaint. Please note that if your complaint is not resolved through these channels, under limited circumstances, a binding arbitration option may be available before a Privacy Shield Panel.
